So, how to macrame?

My first memory of macrame was in my Oma’s (german grandma) house. To this day she still has a variety of macrame wall hangings and plant hangings she made in the 70s. I grew up admiring them but only recently realized how cool they were and how much I wanted to make my own. Funny how trends come back in style.
